There are several grant options available depending on whether you are applying as an individual artist/curator or as an organization/partner, as well as your region and project goals:
For Individual Artists & Curators
Indigenous Individual Travel & Professional Development
- Travel Grant: Apply through Creating, Knowing and Sharing: The Arts and Cultures of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples – Travel to support travel costs related to professional development, networking, and attending gatherings.
Northern & Inuit Artists (Locally Administered Micro-Grants)
- Yukon Artists: Apply for the Indigenous Artists and Cultural Carriers Micro-grant administered through the Government of Yukon.
- Inuit Artists: Access individual funding via the Kajungiqsaut Grants program through the Inuit Art Foundation.
- Northwest Territories Artists: Explore regional opportunities supported through the NWT Arts program.
For Organizations, Groups & Northern Partners
Northern Partners & Co-Delivery Programming
- Through the renewed co-delivery partnerships between the Canada Council for the Arts, regional governments, and organizations, Northern partners can access and deliver local programming support across Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Inuit Nunangat.
Non-Indigenous & Institutional Presentation / Travel Support

Note: Awarded grants are considered taxable income (issued via a T4A) and require a final report to the funder. We recommend keeping all travel receipts for reporting and tax purposes.
