Call for Nominations: Join the ICCA Board of Directors

The Indigenous Curatorial Collective (ICCA) is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. We are looking to fill four board positions with members who bring expertise in financial management, legal affairs, fundraising, or experience in artist-run centres.

Why Join the ICCA Board? As a board member, you will play a crucial role in guiding our organization and supporting our mission to empower Indigenous curators and artists. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the Indigenous arts community and contribute to the growth and success of the ICCA.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in one of our working committees: the Nomination Committee, People Committee, Board Governance Committee, or Gathering Committee. These committees are vital in supporting the needs of our organization and staff.
  • Engage in strategic planning and decision-making to advance the ICCA’s goals.
  • Travel may be required for certain board activities and events.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a member in good standing with the ICCA.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one of the following areas: financial management, legal affairs, fundraising, or experience in an artist-run centre.
  • Commitment to Indigenous arts and culture, and a desire to contribute to the ICCA’s mission.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to the dynamic needs of our organization.

How to Nominate: We invite our members to nominate themselves or someone they believe would be an excellent addition to our board. To submit a nomination, please provide the following information:

  • Nominee’s name and contact information.
  • A brief statement outlining the nominee’s qualifications and the value they would bring to the ICCA Board of Directors.
  • Indication of the committee(s) the nominee is interested in joining.

Deadline for Nominations: Please submit your nominations by September 15 th , 2024
