ICCA Congratulates Daina Warren on Her Appointment as Site Director at Setting Sun Circle

WINNIPEG, MB — The Indigenous Curatorial Collective (ICCA) congratulates Daina Warren, ICCA Board Co-Chair, on her appointment as Site Director at Setting Sun Circle.

Setting Sun Circle is developing a home dedicated to Indigenous storytelling, arts, cultural gathering and innovation, with plans to bring its vision to life in summer 2027. Warren joins the organization at a significant stage in its development, working closely with Lummi leader Darrell Hillaire and the Setting Sun Circle team.

In her new role, Warren will contribute to program stewardship and the development of partnerships across communities and institutions. Her announcement emphasizes a commitment to trust, reciprocity and sustained community relationships as foundations for this work.

Warren’s appointment reflects the leadership Indigenous arts professionals bring to creating and guiding spaces for cultural expression, exchange and connection. Through her work with ICCA, she contributes to a national community committed to advancing Indigenous curatorial practice and supporting First Nations, Inuit and Métis curators and artists.

ICCA celebrates this next chapter in Warren’s career and looks forward to following the development of Setting Sun Circle.
